Hi All,

I was diggin around the other day and can across a pair of Creative labs VooDoo 2's with 12mb RAM. I used to use these with a TNT card sometime back. I was wondering what sort of performance this kind of setup would be capable of. I'm building another system with a P3 500 Dell MB and components; wondering if it's better to just get a geforce MX of some type.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Your dual voodoos will decelerate modern games. The problem is that the version of DirectX they support is too old to be useful. In fact, you may not even be able to run them under XP.

I would buy an inexpensive ATI or nVidia card. A new generation is coming out as we speak and they support DX9.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I currently have in another system an ATI 9500 non pro 128MB softmod to 9700 and O/C to 9700pro mem/core.
The voodoos do work under win2k and I just thought that they could be of some use as I was well pleased with them at the time they came out! I suppose a Geforce 3 Ti 200 would do as their price have reached £50 in the UK.

Cheers.
