I was having problems with ATI's AIW 9600 (AGP) I reloaded O/S, used newest drivers and switched back to older drivers and I couldn't get it to work right. I tried the x600 PCI-E card too and had to RMA the card.
I finally switched to a PCI-E PNY GeForce 6600 (not GT). It seems to have excellent video preformance.
I installed my older ATI 128 Pro AIW PCI card as I want to watch, capture video and record TV programs. I installed the card and loaded ATI's MMC but TV does not work and according to ATI's it needs to be setup as the primary VGA controller.
I am at my wits end. Has anyone used 2 video cards in a configuration similar to mine? I may have to purchase the ATI TV wonder but don't want to spend the money if I don't have to. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Maybe I should go to the video forum? I'll start here.
