I currently have a Radeon 9800 Pro (AGP) and a GeforceFX 5700LE (PCI) I want to get working together. The Radeon I use for gaming, the Geforce for 3D visualizations (anaglyph). I'm tired of swapping Hard drives and video cards depending on the work I want to do. I can get the Radeon to work with Matrox cards, even an old TNT2 card, but not with the 5700LE. Anyone have any suggestions on driver combinations that may work? If I can't get them to play nice I'm going to have to buy a 6600 GT or 6800 GT for the games. I know two nvidia cards will work together, I have that on my PC at work. I just don't to spend the money unless I must.

It would be nice if the Radeon would do 3D stuff but the drivers don't support it. For games, ATI and nvidia may be equivilent. But for 3D, ATI isn't a player.

I would say get the new SLifire chip that allows a pci slot and agp to work together for 2x the power. Plus it works in between nvidia/ati cards.

yuo have 2 choices:
1. build another computer
2. buy another nvidia card(gaming agp card, the 5700le is notroiously weak and horrible for gaming)
nvidia and ati drivers(cats and forceware) will never play together with newer cards. i'm sorry but you may be SOL unless you can find a program to selectively disable either the agp or pci slot on boot.

After hours of working with it I've come to the conclusion it just isn't going to work. Sigh. Oh well, now the choice is between a 6600 GT or strait 6800. I am limited to $200.

I've got the new Asrock 939Dual Sata2 MB with an ATI AIW 9600xt AGP & a BFG 7800 GT OC (PCIe)on its way. The unique thing is both cards and drivers can coexist on this motherboard. I'm sure I'll post more about it as soon as the 7800 arrives but I did ask solo from http://www.solosreviews.net/Reviews/Index/ASRock939_01.html and he didn't have any problems with ATI / Nvidia drivers on the asrock MB. Maybe you could ask him what drivers he used ?
