Anyone else watch this show? Did a quick search but turned up nothing. I'd say this is easily my favorite in-the-bush basic survival show on television. You have the special forces guy who takes risks to get better food, and the hippie who takes the safer route at just about every turn. Am I learning a ton about survival, no. Is it entertaining? Absolutely.

I think the show is well done, and they couldn't find 2 guys who were a better fit to complement each other. I really hope this show doesn't die out.

That said, man woman wild is horrible. That is all.

Watched 1 ep, it was ok. I much prefer Survivorman for that niche, though.

I'm not saying you are wrong in your tastes, but I think you should at least watch a few episodes.

They are certainly a different type of show. Out of the two shows, Les's is more like Mr. Roger's neighborhood, and Dual survivor is Sesame St. Sure you learn from both of them, but Dual Survivor imo is the more entertaining one. They are always doing something that makes you say "wtf!"

In the ep I watched I saw the hippie dude walking around in the swamp in bare feet - absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't watch any more. :p

Hes been doing it for 20 years. While you consider it to be stupid, he chooses to not wear shoes unless its absolutely necessary. The reason, as I am sure you heard in your episode, is that modern man has more foot problems today then when humans didn't wear shoes.

You might not agree with it, but there is research out there to support his choice.

I agree when it comes to everyday walking/running. In fact, I do my running in a pair of VFFs for that very reason. However, walking in a swamp in barefoot is nothing short of stupid. Swamp water/dirt/filth/etc != grass.
