Dual socket LGA 771 server

My father started a printing business about 6 months ago that is starting to get busy and he is now looking to get a server that is able to work with huge files in Adobe illustrator without slow down. He has a Intel quad core system right now and it handles most of the work he does really well but when he gets jobs for car wraps or other huge prints that can be huge amounts data being worked on his quad core system gets really slow and freezes at times. He said that he can spend up to 3000 dollars and is leaving it up to me to come up with what he needs.

This is what I was think of using but I would love some input from people that have built and use servers or have experience with Adobe programs.

Before doing anything, have you checked what the bottlenecks are on the existing server?

If all 4 cores aren't being used now, adding 4 more won't help.

The problem(s) could be CPU, RAM, disk, driver crashes (video, printer), resource leaks, application bugs.

The fix might be add RAM to the existing server, or just to reboot it once a day to recover leaks and fix driver problems.

Can you see anything that would be a potential bottleneck ?
