hi,
is there or isn't there a dual socket 7 board? some people say there's never been one but I've also heard the oposite...
I need a new mobo since the old one is broken and I've got two k6-2 500's.
so, is there?

No such thing, Socket 7 are not SMP processor. There is a Socket 8 dual (Pentium Pro)

Yes there are dual socket 7 mobos. The only thing is they only use the intel chips to run dual cpus. The amd k6 series of cpus don't support smp. So that is the true answer.

I have used a dual pentium 150 .. and I think the fastest dual is 200.. only intel though.. AMD doesnt support multiple processors.. now PentiumPro on the other hand.. woo hoo I think you can still find quad mobos online..
