dual screens and full screen programs

i have my 9600 pro hooked up to my tv and a CRT....when i play a movie full screen or a full screen game clicking on the other screen will interrupt the program. The movie will stop playing full screen.

I'm a newbie to dual screens and i'm just wonderin if there is a way around it
