Dual screen users can you post your setup and show the specs of your monitors?

😀

I'm debating to get 2 x 18" lcds or one 23" lcd.

18" run 1280 x 1024 = 2560 x 1024
23" run 1920 x 1200

I'm wondering if the bezel would annoy me especially during films.

Also if I bought the 18" setup I would only be running one using dvi as I don't have dual dvi outputs. Also not many games can run dual screens.

BUT

I would be able to spend about £600 to buy a new pc setup😀 (using an aging PIII 650 here, but everything apart from mobo is up to spec, 2 x WD 80gb se, Ti4200 128mb, sb 5.1, 55x cdr.

go with teh Dual mon. you dont have to stretch you desktop across them both. you can use them as 2 diff displays. thats what i do. have 2 19in CRTs. and thsi way your games will appear only on 1 screne and teh same with your dvds

Yeah I know but watching dvd's on 18" isn't novel when I have a 29" tv in the study and also 32" in the living room. Watching dvd on a 23" widescreen would look better.

I already have a 19" Vision Master Pro450.

well if you watch a lot of DVDs on your comp then get teh 23in one. personally id go with teh dual setup like i allready have

i wont be getting a LCD untill i can find one with a native res of 1600x1200 with a decent pixel rate. and it also cant cost me my arm and a leg

You can buy the Formac one for £1300 ish. Fast pixel rate. Runs 1600x1200 on 20.1" LCD. The design is nice but a bit bulky though.

Yeah thats what I was doing also. Waiting till 1600x1200 came on but then I was thinking if I was going to spend £1300 ish on one already I might as well spend the extra £1k and get the top end 23" widescreen LCD and not bother to upgrade at least for 10yrs. It runs 1920x1200 so I get 320x1200 more real estate, a bit more convenient.

It doesn't cost and arm and a leg, but it does cost £1300......
