I just order a 2005 FPW while they are on on sale. And my question is can i dual screen with a 19" CRT? I want my LCD at 1680 x 1050 while my CRT @ 1280 x 1024. I reason i am doing that is because my CRT will get blury once it gets up to 1600x1200. So i wanna keep my CRT @ 1280. Basically, i want my LCD at 1680 and my CRT at 1280, is there a problem with that or can i even do that?

Or could anyone suggest a even better solution to this? I wanna keep both of my CRT and LCD.

there is no problem running a 2005fpw alongside a 19" CRT. It will take a lot of desk space, and the 19" screen will look like total crap compared to the LCD (the 2005fpw is one of the brightest LCD's around (even at 0% brightness, which I set mine to!), and text is much sharper than any CRT I've owned). It will really make you want to upgrade the second screen.

But yeah, you should have no problem running both at the same time. Text will be a bit bigger on the 19" screen @ 1280X1024, but it should look passable since 19" screens are actually only 18" visible.

IMO, the perfect match for a 2005fpw (aside from another 2005fpw, which would be sick) is a 17" LCD. The pixels are almost exactly the same, and the 2005fpw is almost exactly as tall as a 17" LCD. I run a 17" LCD next to my 2005fpw and it is great :) .

dun know why my NEC 930SB just can't focus well under 1600 x 1200. I am getting dizzy after 5 mins reading text under 1600x1200...hahah

My friend's NEC 930SB is the same. He likes it for gaming but it isn't too great for text at that res. He's looking to get Dell 2005fpw to replace it.

Of course! I'm running a 2005fpw next to a Samsung 710T (12ms) and both are running on DVI on my X850 XT PE :) .

Ironically, the 2005fpw is one of the best gaming LCD's out there. I'm willing to bet that once you get the 2005fpw and play games that support the aspect ratio (Far Cry, Half Life 2 and pretty much all new games as long as you check out the Widescreen Gaming Forum) that you will use your 2005fpw for gaming and never look back.

My 2005fpw blows any CRT I've ever owned out of the water. Even in fast paced FPSes it looks amazing, and the widescreen aspect is superb :) .

Just so you know, it's generally in the best interest of both parties involved in a trade that if you change your mind (say for example, this 930sb you put for sale here ) and decide NOT to sell what you planned to sell, that you let the buyer know via PM, email, in the thread, a new thread, or just you know, maybe answer the many PMs they sent you wondering why you've never responded back.

Sorry for the OT, but it seems you don't read PMs, so I figured this would be the only way to mention it to you. Enjoy your new LCD.
