Ok, since you seem to know a hell of a lot about processors, what do you suggest?

AMD Thunderbird or Pentium 4?
Is there such a thing as a Dual AMD board?
If there is, would you suggest dual Tunderbird or Dual Pentium 4.

Anyone else that posts here please, please give me a valid reason why. Don't just say "Cause (AMD/Intel) sucks!!!11111" (yeah I'm guilty of that myself, no need to point it out).

Also, what Motherboard is the best for both processors?

Duel p3 would be the cheapest, but if you want a wait a few, duel AMD's would be one powerful setup, abit a tab bit more costly. As far as i know, there is no real plans for a smp p4(regular), just plans for the smp p4(zeon), and those zeon chips are a tad bit pricy.

Heck i think the newer .13 p3 can be put into a SMP config as well, but it might be to pricey to be a good alternative(guess on my part).

I not really going to go into mobos, cuz i don't have one, and don't have much experence with any except for the Tyan Tiger(which is a great board btw), but those tyans are tough to get.

If you're seriously looking at a dual system, check Anandtech again in 1 day, when the Athlon 760MP (Dual processor) review goes up. From leaks I've heard, its kicks the competition around pretty hardily. :)

The P4 Xeon (server version) has arrived in a dual-processor version, but its' not on the market yet, at least for folks like us.

If you must have duals, (or must have em cheap), your best choice is a P3 system. But with such good stuff coming out in the next few months, I'd advice against that.
