what are the dual processor systems available for today's consumer home/business pc market?

What is the INtel Xeon processors main purpose?

only useful for workstation apps that are dual threaded or doing heavy multitasking

amd opteron and intel xeon, now i think opterons are the best bet

**IF** the price is reasonable, this will be my next home PC. Granted, the overall cost may force me to only put on Opteron 250 in it. Early indications claim that the PSU may not handle two 250s.
