Dual Processor Motherboard (Quad Core)

I'm looking for a motherboard that supports two dual core CPU's for a total of four cores. What do you people recommend? Do any AMD compatible boards exist with this kind of configuration? Right now I'm looking at a TYAN S2895UA2NRF with two AMD Opterons. The board looks solid. But I stopped looking into these things a long long time ago (too much stuff to deal with). So I'm not really sure what's what anymore. I want something that'll last.

I've done some further research. The mobo is also known as the Tyan Thunder K8WE (I think). Two AMD Dual-Core Opteron 275 Italy processors (2.2GHz each). 2GB Memory now (another 2 a month or two later). Not sure which GPU, or case.

Still I can't help but wonder if I should just get a Mac Pro?

I have been wondering the same thing. What's a good dual cpu motherboard. Mac have been generaly a little more expensive than PCs so I figured I could probably build a quad core system for less than the Mac Pro. So far I've had trouble finding any real selection of quad core capable motherboards. So here's bump to this thread.
