Dual-Proc AMD XP board- which is the best?

I want to build a dual athlon XP board, and Im wondering if anyone could suggest a good model. I dont want onboard video or SCSI. Thats pretty much my only requirement. Thanks everyone!!!!

All the 760MPX boards are pretty much the same. They followed AMD's specs to the bone.

NOW the diff. is what they also put on the board. Like sound, ethernet, raid, etc.... So find one that has something you will use and has a good price, and get that one.

Also check out www.2cpu.com

I have used ASUS, Tyan, and Chaintech 760MPX boards and all perform about the same. Just some had ethernet, and some had sound, etc...

Well first off, I'd wait till Hammer ships to build a system. Barton prices will drop like a rock as soon as Hammer comes out. But for a motherboard I'd reccomend basically any 760MPX board, especially the Iwill MPX2 if you want to OC, the Tyan Tiger MPX, or the Tyan Thunder K7X Pro if you have a TON of money.

FYI: The IwiLL MPX2 is no longer for sale on the Market. It has been discontinued for over 3 weeks now.

MSI K7D Master would be a good choice... I've had experience with one of these. they are honestly really good boards.

I think the Chaintech is the only one to have both USB 2.0 and RAID.

the Iwill is the only one that is able to run the the 333MHz Bartons, from what I've read. But the upcoming 266MHz MP Bartons should be out soon.

Is this for work or play? If it's for play, pick up a Tyan Tiger MP or MPX for cheap. You're going to fork out quite a bit of money for a system, costs can add up quickly.
