Dual PIII 700e @ 1ghz setup...

I currently have 1 700e @ 1ghz but I am looking into setting up a dual machine... can any one recommend a motherboard? I was looking into the vp6 from abit

There are better options out there. The Tyan Tiger 100, I believe it's called, would probably be a better choice.

Viper GTS

hrmm, i have never used a tyan before, does it come with a softmenu as the abits do? i need to be able to set a fsb of 144mhz most boards are jumpers only =[

IMHO the vp6 is the better ultimate OC board due to it's softmenu bios. The msi 694pro-ar is probably the better (mild OC) all around unit because it uses the Promise ata100 controller.😉

There's a good review of both over at "2cpu.com"

yeah, the vp6 is a pretty good choice... but check out the new msi boards... i have a msi 694D Pro AIR (with ata100 raid) and one p3 700e currently at 1 ghz and am lookin into getting a second processor so yeah... i hear the latest dually msi is supposed to be pretty coo but who knows... vp6 is a good bet at any rate

I DONT think VP6 is the best dual fcpga board. From what i have hered you cant set the voltage individually for the processors (?). MSI is probably one of the best for the money.
