I am working on pricing this sytem out for my brother and I am "new enough" to duallies to know to ask? How much power will this system need? It'll be fully loaded. 1.5 gigs of SDRAM, mutiple hard drives, GeForce 2 Ultra, wireless network, Tuner card, etc, etc...

I usually deal with AMD stuff, is it different for the Intel procs since they run cooler?

Try to get a 350watt PSU. Maybe a Top tier brand at that. Enermax, Sparkle, PC power and cooling, Fortan, channel well.

I have been using a 300watt Antec PS on my ECS dual p3 gigahertz system for about 5 months, no problems, but I am only using one hard drive, and two cd drives, you may need more power if you want more than that..

I think he is palnning to. He certainly has enough ram to do it. Are there stability issues with the ECS with all the ram sockets filled??? I missed that if there is...

I don't think he'll OC. Really doesn't need to with two 1Gig PIII's.

So the Antec 350 or the Enermax 350 should work OK with the system packed full?

That actually surprises me somewhat, I was thinking 400 for sure, but that would be an AMD system. I know a 400 PS "would" work, but isn't that a little overkill in this case?

I had this board and with a ATi Radeon and a V5 and all i used was a 300watt channel well. I used another PSU too. I'll look for the name, it is also a 300watter still running to this day.
