Dual-Output 6800 Ultra

I've got my 6800 ultra and i've noticed the performance hit running two displays while gaming. Is there any way to optimize this or am i stuck with always having to disable my 2nd screen before gaming?

edit: i'm using the dual dvi outputs

Download latest nvidia drivers (61.77+) and in the nview display settings tab, there is a pull down menu where you could select monitor configurations and such.

each display has it owns display properties in the control panel.

Make sure they are running the same resolution and color depth.
