I am running dual operating systems. NT4 and Win2000. I have NT4 on C drive and Win200 on D drive. I would like to delete NT4 from my drive to gain more room. What files can I delete safely without causing problems? Please help!!! I need space. (Don't want to delete everything and reinstall op)
THANKS

You should be able completely format C: then boot the W2kCD and run recovery mode and repair the boot partition. You could also edit the boot.ini and delete the NT4 reference then just remove the \WINNT folder, but there could be residuals in the \Program Files\ directory.

I got big problems now. I tried formatting the C drive and went through recovery mode using the win2000 CD and I am unable to boot. I went under "recovery Console" through the CD and did the fixboot D: command along with the sytemroot command and rebooted and nothing happened. I just keep getting the message "NTLDR is missing". How can I fix this? I am desperate. The automatic recovery mode through the CD did not work and just says files are missing constantly making it worthless. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! THANKS

I know nothing about NTs but from what I just read you formatted C:, then ran fix boot D:. Correct? Doesn't the PC boot from C:? shouldn't it have been fixboot C:. Wouldn't this put the boot sector on C so the PC will boot. Or couldnt you copy everything to C:. Like I said I know nothing about NTs. Might be a thought.
