Dual Nic's - need to set priority

I have dual network cards. One is on a local network with a Linksys router, the other is on a business network and have access to network drives. My computer get access throuth the Linksys and I cant see network drives untill I disable the local NIC. Is there a way to give priority to NIC's so that it uses one for internet access and has priority. I have tried setting static IP to one and then the other and no go.

Anyone know if you can give priority to nic's or have any suggestions?

I have Windows XP with SP2 with and On board - Mian NIC and a 3Com - backup NIC
