i was wondering if there is any way of windows xp to use 2 10/100nics at the same time like load balance them or just use both of them because currentley one is doing everything

Sure, if you have a switch that allows you to combine the two ports and Windows driver support.

And you'd be wrong, it's definitely possible and people do it all of the time. You just need the right hardware.

Link Aggregation and channel bonding. You need a managed switch and the proper drivers for your card to make it work.

To put it in perspective, in the last year many new Mobos come with additional NICs, as a result people get excited and thing that they can Squeeze more from their newly acquired system.

If you are using a regular computer with Windows Client OS there is No Bandwidth/Load (?Speed?) advantage in using more than one an NIC.

If you have, special needs you would need to invest in special hardware and use server OS to benefit from additional NICs.

all intel multi-port server cards support the bonding feature without the need to purchase supporting switch. if you want to increase the speed, you can use one port for inbound and the other for outbound.

I just use mine for the failover feature, because that is more important to me...

PS: Does briding 2 lan connections in XP work as good as a hardware bridge? Probably not right.
