OMG, that would be teh win. Wonder what the dual channel would do for a dual CPU platform, obviously doesn't do much for a single CPU environment, that's already been "proven" with the first two nForce chipsets as I think it has been concluded that a single Athlon doens't know what to do with that much bandwidth.

Too bad the Athlon seems to be inevitably trumped by the P4's massive FSB bumpage to 200MHz and HT... if the nForceFX is real, then that will only help the Athlon survive a little bit longer in the dual cpu world...

And expensive, as all dual-cpu systems tend to be.

Plus, this is only a drawing. I'll believe it when I see working silicon.

it would still be cheaper than buying two systems
we've all read the forum debates on dual vs. higher clocked single cpu systems
but i think 215 bucks for a dual board wouldn't be too bad
if it had integrated graphics maybe 245-ish would be acceptable
still cheaper than xeon solutions

dang according to amdzone.com they don't think it will happen because nvidia don't think there will be enough demand since hammer is so close

if only they had released it last year
hehe

It certainly could be a "vaule" SMP solution ;) The "Duron MP platform" of the Athlon MP world once the hammer is here...
