Dual monitors

Just curious.
I was at the local Best Buy store a few days ago and they had 2 monitors working on one pc.
I can understand doing this in the business world. My broker has 2 monitors he watches and works with.
For home use??? Does anyone use dual monitors at home and why?
Again,,, just curious.

Sure. My main monitor (20") is for games, web, Photoshop etc. I have a 15" secondary monitor for WMP, Photoshop panels, secondary apps, etc. Very convenient.

I use two 22" LCD Screens on my main PC. I'm able to play a MMO game in full windows mode. Plus have the Firefox browser up on the 2nd monitor. That way I can look up info about the quests I'm doing in game.

same. I double monitor. I'm not sure how I could live without it. Whatever I am working on or reading on the main screen and Outlook, xfire, any reference materials I need, etc on the 2nd screen. When gaming it's full screen on the main monitor and things like teamspeak, etc (and Outlook) on the second.

I've got three.
Usually I only use one or two though, but with Win 7 it becomes easier to use one like two with the snap to sides function.
Often it'll be a TV show/etc on one, and then other stuff on the other.
If I'm doing an essay or similar, then it's nice to have a bunch of pdfs etc open on one and my main document on another.

I find it to be much more conducive to multi-tasking by having the ability to pull-up more programs side-by-side instead of alt-tabbing between apps. (2x24" here)

Two and three monitors going at the same time!!!!!!!!!! I get lost when I use one monitor and two windoows opened at the same time! Maybe I need new bifocals. LOLOL
Thanks for the replies.
