So, recently I recieved my brand new 2007FP monitor and my evga Geforce 7800 GS CO. After having a bit of fun with the new video details I decided to try and setup dual monitors.

Currently, the 2007FP is connected to the video card through a DVI cable and my second lcd monitor, a 17 inch viewsonic (VE170b) is connected through a analog cable. After connecting the viewsonic monitor to the video card I turned my computer on and everything seemed to be working great. They were both displaying the exact same thing and loading into windows like normal. The second before I get to the windows login screen the viewsonic monitor stops recieving data and just acts as if its not plugged in. I figure, oh it probably needs to be configured with nvidia drivers or something. So, I spend about 30 minutes screwing around with nview trying to figure out why it wont work. I am puzzled as to why it is "not active" (see picture).

So I go into nview options and of course there is a button called "Detect Displays." I click it, and what do you know, it does nothing

Basically, I am stumped on how I get this dual monitor setup running with nvidia drivers? As you may be able to tell, I am coming from a ATI card.

Thanks for all help in advance.

Yeah, whenever you connect a second display, it always displays a clone of your primary display during boot up even if you have not configured for dual monitors.
