depends a lot on what you do, if you do things that would make use of a multi-monitor setup, then go for it. I was running a dual monitor setup prior to having a second computer sitting beside my main rig, and it was very convenient at times, but if you run something full screen(at least with games) on one of the monitors, the other will shut off.

same here, depends what you're going to do with your computer

i'd rather get a big lcd monitor 20"+ instead of moving my eyes back and forth between two monitors. i currently have dual monitors being set up, my comment is that single monitor actually gives me quicker access than dual monitors. dual monitors are also very handly when u get used to it. while i run videos on full screen on monitor#1, i can still work on the #2.

24" and 23" Dual setup here.

Very nice setup. So much space to use when working and just very easy to browse 3 webpages, IM windows outlook express and winamp.

24" is fairly affordable now a days imo. My 23" cost 3x as much as my 24" I bought a few months ago.

I think two monitors are sweet.

I am going to get a second, smaller, LCD to go with my current Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1" Widescreen LCD when I have the money. I can't decide if I want a 17" or a 19" monitor, though, because I don't know how tall my current LCD is, and I want them to match up height-wise. It really does depend on what you do and how much money you have to spend. It also depends on your graphics card to some extent. I multitask like crazy, so I can see obvious benefits. However, there are a lot of people out there who, like many dual core users, get two when they didn't really have a need for them.
