I jsut orderd a pair of flat screen 17in rosewill monitors from newegg. I had a few questions though. Right now im using a single 19 crt and a gf4 ti4200 128meg with dvi. The first thign i was wondering about is what will the max resolution be with 2 monitors running one very large desktop?

Also how much of a slow down can i expect when running dual monitors?

Can i use dual monitors and tv out at the same time for like a projector?

What about games will one monitor just go off or what? Can i use both monitors in widescreen for games like simcity or other stradegy games?

Finally does anyone have this particular LCD? If so how do you like it?

I dont think you will be able to, i couldnt. But i know some games will allow the use of dual monitors , but not many.

Well the game im considering using it on is SimCity 4. With Simcity4 there is sort of a graphics rules file that you can set all kinds of settings including resolution. Not sure if it works but might be worth trying. Still wondering what happens when im running dual monitors and the game doesnt support it though. Like when the game starts will it sent the image between the 2 screens or what?

Well it will depend somewhat on what video card as to how it handles dual monitors. I have a 6800GT. Right now I am in dual view mode. When I play a full screen game, it will run the game on one monitor, the other will still display what was on it, but if I alt tab out of the game it minimizes it. With extended mode, if the game supports it, I can run in 2560x1024 resolution, and it will use both monitors, but the split down the middle can be annoying depending on the game, but it's still pretty cool, need a 3rd monitor to get rid of that effect lol. In any case ever since I started using dual monitors, I would have a hard time going back to a single monitor. I've also run 2 games at once in windowed mode, one on each monitor, and used a program called shiftwindow, to get rid of the border around the games while in windowed mode.
