I find it shocking that you've never had to turn off a second monitor.

1) Open display properties
2) click on the second monitor
3) see where it says "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" ? click the check box next to that.
4) click ok

unplug it and restart if you don't know how to use the advanced setting for your vid card...

if a program recognizes that a monitor is on then it wont work (depending on the program of course)

You gotta make it less complicated for this guy:

1) Open display properties
2) Under Display, select display number 2.
3) Uncheck the box that says "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor."
4) Click OK.

lol - anyways... I read the Readme for HomeWorld2... my primary video card isn't good enough but my secondary one is... ugh.... and it can only use the primary viedo card.. so me need to change the cards

Monitor settings, find monitor on good card, "Use as Primary Device", OK, kthxbye. 😛

Uhhhhhhhhh, you mean to tell me that you use a sh!tty graphics card for your primary monitor and your good card for the secondary monitor?!?! Why did you bother to get the better graphics card??
