Dual Monitors Win 2000

Hello, I've installed a second PCI video card and expected to see windows 2000 let me use them both.
Nothing is listed in the control panel (Display) that lets me change anything. Both work great and windows finds them both. Bios is set to AGP Init first, and if I change it to Pci it boots on the PCI.

Primary Agp: Voodoo 5500
Secondary Pci: ATI Rage II

Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don't understand this. In the display properties one of the tabs should show two monitors, and you have to extend your display onto the other one by checking the box. Are both cards really working properly in the system properties?

*I remember that video cards with two chips can confuse windows. See the FAQs on the Voodoo.

Try the ATi as primary and got to the device properties. The drivers for the card may not like to play as a secondary display (i.e., it must be primary in BIOS). Fortunately, Win2K can override tha setting ... but only after boot-up.

On the resultion/colordepth/refresh tab in the display control panel, you should see two monitors. If not, go to the device manager and see if both devices are listed.

Both cards are displays and show no conflicks in the device manager. I tried booting up on the Init Pci first and it froze going into windows (both monitors blank) Changed it back to Agp Init forst then everything went back to normal. I've looked in all the tabs under the display setting and nothing has appeared new.Im completly out of ideas and am ready to give up.
I'm going to the 3dfx site to see if they tell me anything. Thanks for you replys.

How did you get on? I am curious about this one. I bet the Voodoo two chipper is at fault. I use my PCI card as the boot card. Changing this over has resulted in no Win2000 display before, after the scandisk screen. But it did get sorted. I just prefer my Voodoo3 that's all.

I used to use an old ATI Mach64 as a secondary video card under Windows98. After I upgraded to Windows2000, I was unable to get it to work. After much searching, I finally found in the Microsoft's Knowledge Base, that the ATI Mach64 driver (that comes with Windows) no longer supports dual video. That may be the case with your ATI card.

Thanks for your replys, I've tried 4 diffrent Pci Video cards with no luck.
I pretty much gave up. I'm thinking about switching to Win Me because the 10
games I really liked (Janes.... Electronic Arts) Dont support Win 2000.
Hopefully WinMe will work things out for me.
