BFG 8800GT
2GB RAM
XP Pro
I was recently given a refurbished Samsung 204T (Newegg link with specs). I first tried using the 204T as my primary, but found the ghosting during gaming wasn't acceptable. The monitor worked fine for 2D/desktop use, as the ghosting effect was minimal.
I moved my Acer 19" LCD back as the primary and now have the 204T as the secondary monitor in portrait mode (1200x1600). I use the Nvidia control panel to rotate it so it displays properly in 1200x1600 @ 60Hz. Both monitors are DVI connected.
However, I notice that the mouse feels slow and sluggish when on the 204T. Is the slowness related to the higher response time of the Samsung (16ms)?
I know that the 8800GT is capable, because I've got a 7600GS powering a 22-inch and 19-inch dual setup at work. Those 2 monitors experience no sluggishness.
Could there be a setting I'm missing or is it just due to the monitor?
