Dual monitors = performance loss in games? T or F

I'm running a 6800 GT and using two monitors, a 19" CRT and a 17" LCD. I play games on the 19" CRT, but I heard somewhere that having two monitors with nvidia cards results in lower graphics performance. So before I play games should I switch from DualView back to a single monitor and just re-enable the second one when I'm done playing, or does it not make a difference?

I've seen a few games that just won't run properly with a second monitor enabled (such as KOTOR, although they may have fixed this by now), but I've never seen a noticeable performance impact from it. You can run some benches both ways if it makes you feel better...

KotOR is one of the most poorly coded games in history though...despite being the best RPG ever. I have never heard of such a problem
