Dual monitors: gaming and second monitor

I just got a second monitor and am using it as an extended desktop. I want to be able to play a game such as Guild Wars on my primary monitor and be able to chat (AIM or MSN) on the second window. I am running my game in windowed mode, which lets me move the mouse to the second monitor. But when I click another window, the game loses focus and stops. Is there anyway I can keep my game playing while I am chatting on the other monitor?

Most if not all games are not capable of doing what you ask.
