Dual Monitors for Dell SC1430

I'm using a Dell SC1430, 3ghz dual core, 2gb ram with Ediirol FA-66 192KHz sound card.
Primary application is processor intensive (software defined radio). Part of that program is a high speed panoramic display of 22 Khz of radio spectrum.

Want to run two LCD VGA monitors. Bought a PNY FX5200 PCI. Can't get the Dell to boot.

If I'm reading correctly, this card is a bad idea on several counts. t/f?

What would be an inexpensive, hi res, that would keep up with the processor, place little demand on the processor?

Thanks...

I would suspect the the Dell won't run the PCI video card unless you disable the on board video (if it has it) first.

There is no way to disable the onboard that I've found. If I put an old ATI PCI card in a slot, it replaces the onboard. If put FX5200 dual VGA in same slot, won't boot. Not even the setup screen.

Have you removed the original Dell video driver and installed an Nvidia driver?

I ask because you say an ATI video card works (off the installed Dell ATI driver?) but an FX5200 (Nvidia driver needed) does not work.
