dual monitors... dual keyboards possible?

I'm running win98, have a geforce2 card capable of running 2 monitors.... I have a spare monitor. I was wondering if there's a way to hook up a 2nd keyboard and operate 2 programs at once (2 word processing programs for instance)
I've found that with my wife and myself both taking grad classes, as well as the kids needing to do homework, we seem to need 3 computers in the house.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that win98 is incapable of doing that; it's completely single-user. Hooking two monitors up simply gives you a larger windows desktop.

I did see this kind of setup several years ago with an NT machine, but that involved additional hardware and software. Windows terminal server might be capable of this, but that requires a windows server.

your best off getting a second computer...(Walmart on-line $199 with Lindows!)

but if you don't want to..

you might try a PC Buddy

it allows you to do exactly what you have described.

enjoy.

Before you go off and buy a new computer, there is software which allows two different users to use a single computer similtaenously. You need 2 monitors, 2 keyboards, 2 mice, and the program called "Thinsoft Be Twin" (I know the name sounds lame, but if it does what it claims...its pretty cool) It was bundled with my MSI Ti4200, and I havnt used it yet.
