Hey, i have a kinda stupid question,.. cause i'm not really computer oriented and stuff... but i purchased a radeon 8500 and it says it has dual monitor support. I was just wondering if every monitor is capable of doing the dual monitor thingy. Thanks

I can't answer for *every* monitor, but every ordinary computer monitor ought to be usable in such a setup. The real limiting factor is the card -- if the two monitors are extremely different in their supported resolutions and refresh-rates, the card might have trouble driving them both simultaneously. For example, you might have to use the same resolution/refresh rate on the better monitor that you're restricted to on the lesser monitor.

That being said, check the card's specs and you should be able to determine whether any given pair of monitors will work well with the card in dual-monitor mode.

yeah , what he said ^^^^

I personally run a 20 incher and a 15 incher side by side, and another 17 and 15 incher side by side, and they work great. Ones new, the other is ancient in both cases.

I run matrox dualhead cards with support independent refresh rates and resolutions on each monitor...i'm not sure if the radeon has the drivers for this or not...if not, then you have to make both monitors into one "big desktop" in which case it can be annoying to have one really big and one really small monitor.
