Dual Monitor Solution

I was hoping someone could give me some feedback because I have never done a dual monitor setup.

I'm getting rid of my CRT monitor and going with 2 LCD's. Basically, what I want on top of that is to somehow make one of the monitors be able to toggle between Microsoft Windows and cable TV.

Is this possible? If so, what equipment would I need to make it happen?

Also, I spoke with a Viewsonic rep and they said that they don't support TV on their regular LCD monitors, only the LCD TV's. Can running full motion television picture reduce the shelf life on the LCD monitor?

Can you now connect two LCD monitors? If not, what ports (DVI, VGA, etc.) does your video card have?

Do you have a TV tuner card installed in your computer or a USB TV tuner you can connect to a USB port?

Thanks for linking me to newegg's site but I need specific information on how I would setup the whole system. I have dual dvi on my vid card so I know that I can at least run windows in dual monitor mode. What I want to do is to specify one monitor to use the tv tuner card that I would have to get.

I'm sure I'm not the first person who's tried to do this.

I believe you'll be able to display the TV broadcast on either monitor, just as you'll be able to display Word, Excel, your browser, Outlook Express, etc. on either monitor. I haven't actually used a TV card in my computer but I can play DVDs on either of my two monitors, as well as select either monitor for various other applications.

I understand that some games insist on being displayed on the primary monitor. But, other than those games, most applications can easily be moved to either monitor. Also, that fact that you'll be running two monitors from one video card (I have an AGP card and a PCI card) is, I believe, another factor indicating high probability that you'll be able to display a TV broadcast on either monitor.

It's just going to be a function of whatever TV tuner+ software you would get if you go with those monitors. Some LCDs do also have secondary S-video inputs that you could hook a TV signal up to. The tuner is probably the easiest option, though.
