Dual Monitor Setup

I want a dual 17" lcd setup, based on things I've heard this is the best way to go. Does anyone have ideas for cheap 17" lcds with a decent refresh rate? And does a dual monitor setup work with gaming? Is the cross hair like across both screens, I can't figure out how that would work.

I have two Dell 1703fp's and they are perfecly fine in games even with their 25ms refresh rate. 🙂 Yes, you do on a rare occation see a little ghosting when the image is moving VERY fast, but i play Quake 3, UT2k3, UT2k4 on mine just fine without any problems.

To get "surround gaming" like your looking for, most games don't support it. In fact, most either play the game on one screen or mirror it. Depending on the setting i have mine at, i can do either.

And now for the obligatory pic, my babies

I guess there would be no point for me to get dual monitors then since a lot of what I do on my computer is game. Thats kind of a disappointment. O well.

get a single 2001fp, you'll have high res, large size, and you can add a second one later, when you have more money. having two monitors in a game isnt too good, image your targeting area RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the two displays, what an annoyance! i believe that there is a hot deal in the hot deals section on the 2001fp
