Dual monitor questions...

ok well I have a spare monitor that sucks but I might as well put it to good use...my question is...if you have 2 monitors....do they both have to be at the same resolution? and can I get one to display and play games while have the other one looking at forums and doing im stuff without having a second card and just using my radeon 8500? also where can i find a vga to dvi cable? thanks

You should be able to find the cable either online or at any good computer store. They are only a few bucks online though.
Yes you can play a game on one monitor and look at stuff on the other but most games will lock your mouse on to the monitor the game is on.

well I found a link on ati's site where you can buy a cable...but does anyone know if you can have 2 monitors with 2 different resolutions? thanks again...

Yep, you can have 2 monitors at different resolutions.

If you are playing a game i very much doubt that you will be able to browse a forum or do anything else because normally the mouse is locked into the game, and if you try to move out of it and click on anything else then the game will lose focus and normally minimise.

Confused

ok well I dropped by ati's site and when I first read it...it said that you could run them both at 2 different resolutions...but then I read downward some more and then I looked at teh star and it said not supported in windows 2000 🙁 but anyways...is there any third party software that would allow you to do this?
