Dual Monitor Questions

I just bought a second monitor (Samsung 955df), and am now using it with my primary monitor (sony trinitron) with my video card (radeon 8500) for a dual monitor display. I have two problems with this, one is whenever I start playing a game in my primary monitor such as counter-strike, my second monitor is unusable. All of the windows in my second monitor are moved to the right, and although I am able to move the cursor from the game in my primary monitor to whatever in my secondary monitor, wherever I click in my secondary monitor causes the game to minimize in my primary monitor, and everything goes back to normal. I've heard that this is happening because counter-strike can't multitask. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Also, the task bar only goes along the bottom of my primary monitor, is there a way to make it stretch across both monitors? Thanks :)

What you're experiencing is completely normal. The reason everything shifts to the right when you enter the game is because you're running the game at a different resolution than your desktop. You can't multitask on the second monitor if you're running a full screen game on the primary monitor. If you really want to be able to multitask, then you have to play the game in windowed mode and not full screen.

And no, the taskbar is not supposed to go across both monitors.....only the primary.
