You can run both without issue at seperate resolutions and sizes

I have a 1280/1024 19" and a 1980/1200 24" running quite happily along side each other off the same video card.

With two (or more) gfx cards, you can have four (or more) monitors running at any resolution you want.

I have a Dell 30" @ 2560x1600, a 2407 in landscape @ 1920x1200, a 2407 in portrait @ 1200x1920, and a 20" 2001FP @ 1600x1200. (I like Dell monitors)

You choose yourself which you want the primary monitor to be. I have it set to the 30" so I can play games at 2560x1600, cos thats just sexy.

That's terrifying. How many desks do you own to hold all that monitor mass? How much porn can one person view without their head exploding?
