Dual monitor question

Hello

I have a GTX 970 with DVI only, but I want to hook up an older VGA HP monitor. Is there anyway I can utilize the VGA input on the onboard video of the motherboard?....or am I going to have to get a VGA to DVI adapter?

MB is ASRock Z97 Pro 3 LGA 1150

I read somewhere that if I go into my BIOS I'd find a "dual monitor" setting that would allow this, but I didn't see anything like that.

Thanks

I'll stop just short of stating it as a definite fact, but I very seriously doubt there's even a "hackish" way to enable both on-board and PCIE-based GPUs at the same time with any motherboard/BIOS. What may be confusing you is that your mobo does have multiple video outputs and you should in fact be able to run dual monitors off it, but that would only work with on-board graphics (alone). (Don't know why you're not seeing the option in the BIOS screens, though, maybe it would show up if PCIE-graphics were disabled?) So yeah, you'll need a DVI→VGA adapter.
