hey,

i have dual screens set up with my laptop and another monitor. whenever i rightclick on the nonlaptop display, the menu always shows up on the laptop monitor.

anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

the video card is some Intel Extreme Graphics hardware

Edit: Apparently the problem is only with Firefox. Has anyone experienced any dual monitor issues with firefox before?

Have you tried the Video forum? Or just about any forum here other than Off-topic?

Yeah, but if he does then he won't get any help for a good 8-10 hours.

update your driver software (nvidia's pretty good for dual monitor) or get ultramon (google it)

I'm actually confused as to which forum this should belong in. Does it go in Peripherals? Does it go in Technical Support? Does it go in Video?

Either way, it doesn't belong in Off Topic, so I'm going to issue the standard WRONG FORUM©. :D

Wow dude, nice grab on that copyright!
Oh and since people wern't reading he said it's an intel graphics card.

See above post about ultramon, Great software.

try switching your primary/secondary monitors? and then rebooting?

sometimes i have weird problems on my dual dvi geforce 6800 on 2 DVI monitors at home... the desktop icons would all move to my secondary monitor and i cant move them back to the primary unless I reboot and it will all be back to normal...

I remember playing around with dual monitor options a few years ago when I had a PCI video card and onboard intel video, and somewhere there was an option to have all context menus appear on the primary or secondary monitor, but I can't remember where those settings were.

I have had problems with right click menus and dual monitors when the computer still thinks it only has one monitor. E.g. if I boot up with one monitor and then add another monitor. Firefox is particularly bad with this. What I do is reboot the system after adding the 2nd monitor. In your case, reboot after hooking up to the external monitor. It should boot up with both devices and then firefox should be okay.
