How do I get it so that all my icons and task bar is on my left hand monitor opposed to it being on my LCD.

I have one monitor hooked up via VGA and one hooked up via DVI.

Depends on your card, most have a utility to let you select the default monitor. Also, post in the right forum dude.
 
Drag your icons and taskbar over to the monitor that you want it to be on. Make sure the taskbar isn't locked.
