Dual monitor problems on a G4 dual processed

I have a dual processed G4 with a Voodoo3 as a the card for the second monitor. It is now installed in PCI slot 1.

Right now I can't switch the second monitor's resolution to 1024x768. When I do that, the system hangs. It's failing to properly refresh the screen too, leaving some lost pixels behind.

I tried switching the card over to slot 4, but then the system won't even boot up.

Do you have any idea of what's causing me this problems?
