I'm using a Dell Latitude CPi (win98, neomagic magicmedia256AV video controller). I've got it set to do dual display, using the laptop screen (1024x768x256, primary display) and a NEC multisync e500 (800x600x16bit, second display). For some reason, if I have an open window on the monitor, the picture "falls off" the screen, the screen goes black and clicks, and then comes back up and does it again, over and over. After everything's been running a while, it quits and works fine. Any idea where the problem lies and how to fix it?
Also, the laptop screen is only at 256 colors, it doesn't give any higher options. I'm assuming that means I'm out of video memory running both screens? When using just the laptop screen, it's got higher color depths. Anything I can do about this?
