Dual Monitor Nvidia quirks..

I have a brand new MSI 6600GT video card with my brand new viewsonic vp201s (20" 1600x1200 lcd) and my ole NEC 1760V(1280) lcd monitors hooked to it, the vp201s into DVI and the NEC into vga(analog).

Windows detects the NEC as "1" and the viewsonic as "2". When I play a game such as World of Warcraft, my resolution is capped at 1280, the res of my NEC. When i disconnect the NEC, it allows me to pick 1600...the weird thing is, the viewsonic is set to "primary display" in windows...why are my games capped at the other monitor's girth? Is there a way to register my DVI(viewsonic) monitor to be "1" and my NEC to be "2"??

I just picked a random company. I'm actually an MSI fan, (I'm a reseller.) but I haven't found a solution to this. That's why I insist on either Dual VGA or DVI for my main rig.

This may have changed with the latest drivers, but take a look at this image. DualView treats each display individually, allowing each one to have its own resolution, refresh rate, and color depth. Just using spanning (or cloning, for that matter) treats everything connected as one merged display. Which setting are you guys using?

hm, i installed the drivers off MSI's site...fixed my problem...they are not the newest...but i'll deal with it, as my games still run well ;)

its weird, the msi drivers choose the dvi as display 1, and the nvidia ones choose it as 2...even when i set 2 to be the 'primary' my games want to run the res of 1 only...so my issue is resolved...there should be a way to set this.
