Dual Monitor Multitasking in Games

Ok so I just got my new FPS2005 combined with my other 19inch CRT and i'm stoked :). Anyway I see people mention that they constantly chat/surf the web on their second monitor while playing a game simultaneously on one monitor. Well obvious the keyboard and mouse is being used to control the game, so how do you "tab" into the other monitor and type/mouse with affecting the game and completely alt-tabbing out of the game?

Thanks.

I've got plenty, heh, including 2 laptops right here next to my computer. I don't necessarily need this function, I just thought it would be interesting to play with and i've heard many people claiming to do this and was just wondering how they did, if at all.

If you are "playing" a game that allows you the opportunity to successfuly multitask, you need to find a new game.

2 options: Alt+Tab for most games/older games (eg Warcraft 3, pretty much any FPS, etc.), or run the game in "Windowed Mode" (it can still be full screen) and then just go off the screen's edge (eg. World of Warcraft).
