Dual monitor/Multimonitor help

I recently went from using two computers to just using one with a multimonitor setup and i am running into some problems. I can do normal apps like surfing and word processing by dragging apps to whichever monitor I want to use but here is the problem I am running into.

I fire up a movie using VLC and drag that onto my HDTV no problem there but when I fire up a game like WOW or COD5 on my main screen it wipes out my 2nd monitor ?? Is this because my setup is messed up or the order that I am firing up these apps are messed up?

I am using Nvidia drivers and I am running 64 bit Vista.

Any help would be appreciated it.

Was it a setting in the nvidia control panel that controls whether a movie will play on the primary monitor?

Sorry for my short reply before I was in a hurry. Here is what the problem was, For some reason COD5 and wow was set to run at 1280 X 1024 which was conflicting with my dual monitor setup in the nvidia control panel. I had display 1 set at 1650 X 1050. Once I changed the resolution in those games to were they were suppose to be 1650 X 1050 this fixed the problem.


I am not sure how the heck the resolution got messed up on those games but my OS has been running like crap and is dire need of a clean installation.

Interesting makes sense. Do you use Ultramon for your dual monitor setup? I have found it to be quite useful.
