A week ago I bought the radeon 8500- dual display capable. Now I bought a second crt. all i can say is OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!

What is a crt?

And with dual monitors, you can see two different things at once, right?

I also have an 8500, but it only has a place for 1 regular monitor, 1 s-video out, and 1 of those other plug-ins(flat panel displays right?)

crt = cathode ray tube (referring to the type of display used with conventional monitors as opposed to Liquid Crystal Display or TFT [which I don't know the expanded form of] types.)

dvi for flat panel, yes. however it should have also come with a dvi - vga converter which is a regular monitor output.

I have a triple monitor display setup myself. I would never like to go back to a single monitor setup. I find it to damn convienient to be able to display multiple applications at once. Some people ask me what I do with three monitors. Believe me, you find things to fill them with. 😉

AFAIK, there are no cards that do triple monitor (although I think some pro boards do four). You need a multiple card setup to get three.

I never tried it, but what about using the S-Video out to TV, and the two Monitor outs to the CRTs?
Is it going to work? One monitor displaying same screen just bigger on TV and different application window on the other CRT connected to DVI-VGA output?
Please, somebody with Radeon 7500 or 8500 try it and let me know. I am trying to get a AIW 8500DV although I have not seen a good TV out yet.
