dual monitor in sli system problem

I just upgraded to SLI, previously I had one card that I used to support a dual monitor system and I used ultramon to get my taskbar to extend onto the other monitor. Wtih the sli setup once I disable sli and extend the desktop onto my second monitor the taskbar no longer shows up on that side... I guess its because the computer thinks I have 3 displays in settings and ultra mon is confused. Anyone ever have this problem and find a solution?

I thought that was impossible because Nvidia never fixed that "feature"

You need to pick and choose man. 2 video cards or 2 monitors. You can't eat your cake and have it too.

Put both screens onto the first card. Should fix ur problems.

I run one monitor on card 1, with 2nd monitor and tv out on second card, using 84.20 drivers along with Ultramon and works fine.

I disable second monitor for sli gameplay and then reenable for other tasks.

Card 1=monitor 1 and 3
Card 2=monitor 2 and 4

Ahh ok, so I plug the left monitor into the port that is furthest away from motherboard in the top card, and then plug the second monitor into the same spot on the second card?

Sli works with dual monitors you just need to disable it to use your monitors

I am not looking at the back at the moment, but yeah either that, or the opposite port. I was puzzled as you were six months back, then about two months ago set it up this way and all works well.
