Dual monitor image goes up

I been trying to set up my tv to dual monitor I have to use an adapter ofcourse but the picture on the tv keeps going up..

I dont really know how to explain it. Llike the image keeps dragging up and the top of the picture comes up from the bottom. Kinda like the early black and while movies. Its in a loop basically.

I tried switching the dvi ports still wont work. I have updated my graphics card, I have a GTX 260.

Any help/suggestions would be very helpful

1. What kind of TV (LCD/Plasma or CRT) and what's the TV's native resolution?
2. What inputs are you using on the TV?
3. What adapter type are you using (DVI->VGA, DVI->BNC?, etc)?

Offhand, without more information, it sounds like a refresh rate problem on a CRT. Most flat panel type displays simply display out of range errors if they can't get a proper signal.

Check to make sure that you're outputting the native resolution and the correct refresh rate for your TV. If you're using an HDTV with a standard 720p or 1080p resolution, utilize a DVI->HDMI adapter and the HDMI input on the TV. That'll minimize problems dramatically. Try to avoid an analog input at all costs, unless you're using a CRT that doesn't have HDMI or DVI inputs.
