Dual Monitor causing a BSOD?

This may sound dumb, but can this happen? I connected a second monitor the other day and I experienced a blue screen:

ntoskrnl.exe

I tested my RAM with memtest and the cpu and got no problems.

Four days later I got another blue screen:

dxgmms1.sys
ntoskrnl.exe

I disconnected the second monitor and updated my video card driver just now. Any other suggestions? I built this computer a few months ago and aside from startup issues, it has been solid until the second monitor was hooked up.

Are you seeing the IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or is it something different?

Not knowing the rest of the blue screen message makes it difficult to know a specific cause.

Is anything on your screen when you enable the second screen? Like Chrome or Firefox (since they use your video card).

On the surface, it is most likely a video card driver issue. What card? Is it is an Nvidia card and you use Chrome, there is a driver specifically targeting Chrome issues.

I got a BSOD for my sound card driver. I am trying to delete the darn folder off my computer which is suggested but it will not let me do it. I even pulled the card out and disabled everything I could find.

I may just reformat and start new.

Thanks for that. I will get it later when I am home.

I did get a cmudamp.sys blue screen later which I just reformatted. Since, there isn't much on the computer it is quick. I will update the drivers later.

Thanks for taking the time to help me. I want to use two monitors so this should fix any issues.
