Is there anyone that has have experience with dual monitors and a laptop? Right now we have Dell C840 laptops and have single monitors off of a C/port. I think we can get a C/dock and put in a pci video card and run off that setup dual monitors. There's also the possibility we'll be getting rid of C840 laptops at which time we could get another type of laptop. If that is the case, what laptop would you recommend to run dual monitors?

C840? What brand is that?

Far as dual-monitors, anything based off the more recent ATI/nVidia cores (Mobility 9000 or higher / gF Go) or i855-Extreme should do dualhead. I think. :p

I had a C840 (recently replaced with an HP NC8000) with a CPort. I hooked up a second 19" monitor and used it in conjunction with the C840's LCD. Works very well. I prefer the LCD to the CRT, but that's just me.
